Welcome to St John and St Francis Church of England Voluntary Aided Primary School.
We are very proud of our school which has a history going back 165 years, since it was first established as a Church of England Primary School in 1846. The Staff and Governors of the school aim to provide the children with an education that is broadly based and tailored to meet all children's needs and as we move forward further into the new Millennium, to prepare them for the technological age ahead.

The Christian ethos is at the heart of all that we do and we aim to provide a caring, friendly and happy atmosphere in which a child may fulfil their potential and to grow in self confidence and respect for people and their environment. We constantly look for ways to raise standards and levels of achievement.
We are very proud of the school’s achievements and hold recognized awards for Investors in people, Sport England Activemark, Advanced Healthy Schools and Dyslexia friendly status.
